How the course will be graded

The Assessment Criteria

Make the assessment criteria clear.

How this course will be graded.

70% on project - Day 7 & 8 - details coming.

30% on grades - less important.

Poor scores at the checkpoints are not how you will be assessed.

Only Gene, Mike and ian will see your quizz scores.

The idea of the checkpoint is to help us see what you have learned - that either knowledge exists or learning has occurred. This is more important than comparing quizz scores.

ian resetting the quizzes so that students can go back and do again as many times as they need to.

The real world is about projects.

  • How you can come together as a team - soft skills as important as hard skills.
  • How you are applying new AI knowledge to agreed problems statements.
  • We do NOT expect to see coding prototypes in the presentation - we will be impressed if you can.
  • We are looking for understanding of AI applied to real world problems.
  1. Students have shared their preferred Sustainable Development goals - last call on Friday.
  2. We will set the 5 teams, 5 different goals and ian will publish on TEAMs over the weekend.
  3. Each new team to come together and suggest specific problems they believe they could impact using AI & Design.
  4. One problem each team selected by Gene. ian will publish Wednesday night.

ian doing 10 minutes 1:1 with everybody DAILY - general check in - starting Tuesday.
