Introduction to Serial Data.

The readings from sensors in an IoT system produce vast amounts of data. As we will have seen in the simulation, most of this data is in the form of ‘serial data’.

If you were using a real physical Arduino, you could read the serial data that the Arduino writes in response to changes – usually voltage changes – in the sensor.

Serial data is often the source of Big Data, of the type that is processes by Machine Learning.
